MARCH 19 – MONTHLY MEETING

DOES YOUR SCHOOL HAVE A GSA?    WOULD YOU LIKE TO HELP GET ONE STARTED?

A GSA (Gender Sexuality Alliance or Gay Straight Alliance) is a LGBTQ student group that is a safe and brave space for everyone to feel included and celebrated. GSA’s are the number one indicator that LGBTQ youth feel safe and included in a school environment. GSA’s, essentially student-led clubs, are constitutionally protected in middle and high schools.¬† In elementary schools, it is common to find Friendship Clubs which focus on how to be a good friend, to love yourself and to celebrate community.

COME JOIN US if you’d like to learn more about how to START or STRENGTHEN a GSA at your school.¬† We will discuss BEST PRACTICES and share successes and challenges that we’ve found along the way.

EVERYONE who supports our MISSION of fostering safe and inclusive learning spaces is welcome.¬† PARENTS/CAREGIVERS, YOUTH, COMMUNITY MEMBERS, EDUCATORS…. THIS IS FOR YOU!!
